About Koruldi Lakes
Located just 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from Mestia and accessible either by off-road vehicle or on foot, Koruldi Lakes sit at an elevation of 2,740 meters (8,990 feet). The hiking trail to the lakes, simple in difficulty, covers a total of 16 kilometers (10 miles) round trip and offers splendid views of Tetnuldi, Ushba, and Mestia. It’s important to carry enough water and food for the day, as there are no sources along the trail. While the lakes are smaller than some expect, their beauty is undeniable, especially with the reflections of the surrounding snowy peaks. Best visited in summer and autumn, the area is less accessible in winter and spring due to heavy snowfall.
