Description
Your day begins with a comfortable vehicle transfer from Tbilisi to Tskhvarichamia. Once we arrive, we'll start with a brief climb of 100 meters (328 feet) before setting off on our bikes. The journey is primarily on asphalt with moderate downhill slopes, perfect for beginner cyclists. As we descend through the Sabaduri forest, you'll be surrounded by the towering oak, hornbeam, and beech trees, breathing in the fresh mountain air.
Continuing on, we navigate a winding road, enjoying the picturesque scenery on our way to Tianeti. Near the local police station, we turn east towards Sioni, passing through charming villages on gentle, rolling terrain. The total biking distance for the day is 37 kilometers (23 miles), with the option to bike half the distance if preferred.
Our destination for lunch is Sasadilo, where you can rest and refuel with a delicious meal. Throughout the tour, our support vehicle is always nearby, offering the chance to take a break and ride in comfort whenever needed.
On our return journey to Tbilisi, we make a stop at the historic Ujarma Fortress. Built in the 5th century by King Vakhtang Gorgasali, this ancient stronghold is perched on the right bank of the Lori River, within the Gombori mountain range.
