We hebben een privéhelikoptervlucht gemaakt van Tbilisi naar Mestia en zijn daarna doorgevlogen naar Batumi. De helikopter was in zeer goede staat en de piloot was duidelijk ervaren, waardoor de vlucht de hele tijd veilig en soepel aanvoelde. Vliegen over de Kaukasus en de Svaneti-torens van bovenaf zien was echt iets heel anders. We hadden een beetje tijd om rond te lopen in Mestia voordat we teruggingen. Geen goedkope ervaring natuurlijk, maar zeker een van de meest memorabele dingen die we in Georgië hebben gedaan.

Exploring the stunning landscapes of Georgia was a dream come true . The fall colors painted a breathtaking backdrop as we ventured through the mountains. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about the region, making the history come alive. I loved the cozy 4-star hotel where we stayed—comfortable, with incredible views. While the hike was challenging, the feeling of reaching the top made it all worth it. Only hiccup was a slight mix-up with our meal orders, but it didn’t dampen our spirits. Grateful for this experience!

Hiking in the Caucasus Mountains was a highlight; the views simply took my breath away. I wish we had had a bit more time in some places, though. A couple of long drives felt a bit excessive.
