Zeda Makhuntseti

Zeda Makhuntseti is a charming village nestled in the Keda district of the Adjara region in southwestern Georgia. Positioned at an elevation of 331 meters (1,086 feet) above sea level, this small settlement is home to a population of 351 people. While modest in size, Zeda Makhuntseti, along with its neighboring village Kveda Makhuntseti, holds a rich historical significance, as the two were once collectively referred to as "Makhuntseti."

The Makhuntseti community, located in the scenic gorge of the Adjaristskali River, is surrounded by lush green landscapes and steep mountainous terrain. The area sits at an elevation ranging from 220 to 300 meters (722 to 984 feet) above sea level, providing a peaceful and picturesque environment. Just 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) from the town of Daba Keda, and 30 kilometers (18.6 miles) from Batumi, the nearest city and railway station, Zeda Makhuntseti offers a blend of rural tranquility and easy access to urban amenities.

This area is part of the larger Makhuntseti community, which also includes the villages of Kosofeli and Chalakhmela, contributing to a rich, shared culture that spans the picturesque Adjaran landscape.
