Exploring Georgia was an unforgettable experience. From teh bustling streets of Tbilisi to the serene countryside, each moment was a small treasure. I particularly loved wandering through the quaint towns, where the locals welcomed us with warm smiles and homemade treats. Hiking in the Caucasus Mountains was a highlight; the views simply took my breath away. I wish we had had a bit more time in some places, though. A couple of long drives felt a bit excessive. Still, I left with a heart full of memories. Can't wait to share stories!

The Georgia.to agency allowed us to realize another of our dreams, discover Georgia, in its scenic and cultural beauties, in its traditions, and history, in its culinary delicacies and unrivaled wines. Its inhabitants, with great professionalism and attention, led us to discover the wonders of cities such as Tbilisi and Kutaisi and to adventure in the Svaneti region, where we shared the charm of mountains, glaciers, lakes, and villages. We will carry in our hearts the beautiful and extraordinary Cave of Prometheus, the emotions expressed by the Imereti Canyon, the charm and serenity of the monasteries visited in the villages of Saro, Ubisa, and Mtskheta. The majesty of Rabati Castle in Akhalsikhe, a special place in our hearts, will have the wonderful region of Svaneti, with the villages of Mazeri, Ushguli, where we were captivated by the natural cultural landscapes, customs, and smiles of its inhabitants. Discovering and loving the Georgian land was possible for us thanks to the skill of agency staff who followed us in the persons of Pavel, Anna, and Dato, to whom our heartfelt thanks go for making us experience a dream trip,

Après deux journées intenses de visites à Tbilisi le circuit proposé nous a offert de superbes paysages et des curiosités très intéressantes. S'y sont ajoutés des contacts chaleureux avec les géorgiens notamment à l'occasion des hébergements et repas chez l'habitant. Les informations données tout au long du voyage ont toujours été appréciées. Selon moi le tour dans le sans contraire serait à privilégier. La balade dans la cité balnéaire de Batumi est de peu d'intérêt. Cette journée pouvant alors faire l'objet d'une extension le jour précédent. Au sortir de l'avion pourrait alors rejoindre Zugdidi ce qui ferait gagner une journée qui pourrait être utilisée ailleurs.
Merci pourtant Pavel, bon courage pour affronter cette triste période où votre pays est dans la guerre.

Ce circuit est intéressant parce qu'il couvre la majeure partie de la Géorgie : ses régions si variées de la plaine à la haute montagne et au bord de mer, ses églises, ses monastères. Notre petit groupe a eu la chance d'avoir un guide, Pavel, parlant français qui nous a accompagné pendant tout le séjour. Il a su partager sa connaissance du patrimoine historique et culturel du pays et même nous conseiller pour tester les spécialités culinaires des différentes régions. Un autre point intéressant du voyage est la variété des hébergements, allant du confortable hôtel à la maison d'hôtes qui nous a permis des contactes avec des Géorgiens charmants et parfois atypiques (une actrice, un artiste à l'imagination débordante pour faire de sa maison une taverne d'Ali Baba...).
Ce qui est bien aussi est de terminer le circuit à Batoumi, ville balnéaire où les grattes ciel aux formes improbables se mélangent aux anciens palaces ou aux immeubles soviétiques décrépis, mélange vraiment étonnant. On a vu une ville bien vivante avec des familles venues du reste du pays, de Russie, profitant de la plage, des manèges et autres attractions, des terraces de café... une ville moderne qui contraste avec le reste du pays plus traditionnel.
