Zestaponi or Zestafoni is a picturesque town located in the Imereti region of Georgia, surrounded by stunning mountain ranges and lush green forests. The town has a rich history, dating back to the 2nd century BC when it was an important center of ancient Colchis.
Geographically, Zestaponi is situated approximately 200 kilometers west of Tbilisi, at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. The town covers an area of approximately 7.3 square kilometers and is located on the banks of the Kvirila River. The surrounding landscape is characterized by rolling hills, dense forests, and natural springs, which are believed to have healing properties.
