Description

Begin your journey from the comfort of your hotel in Batumi as we escort you along the scenic Black Sea coast to Chakvi, the cradle of Georgian tea. Here, explore the legacy of Lao Zeng Zhao, the pioneer who introduced tea farming to Georgia. Absorb stories that trace the roots of these plantations back to their inception.

Continue to the Anaseuli Experimental Tea Factory, a cornerstone of tea research during the Soviet era. Covering an extensive area, this facility not only showcases thriving plantations but also houses a park and historical buildings. Wander through fields where the Kolkhida tea variety flourishes, and delve into a visual history displayed through Soviet-era photographs that depict the life and labor of the time.

Stroll through the park to reach the factory, where the air is rich with the aroma of teas being processed. Here, machines whir with activity, transforming leaves into black, green, white, yellow, and red teas. Visit the experimental lab, where each tea's quality is meticulously tested.

Midday brings a drive to Nagomari, where a picnic among rejuvenating organic tea plantations awaits. Enjoy the local produce—homemade jams, freshly baked bread, rich cheese, and crisp vegetables—complemented by a selection of fine teas.

As the afternoon fades, visit a traditional Gurian farm in Bakhvi, where the land is rich with organic tea gardens and vibrant vegetable fields. After a guided tour, partake in a tea tasting and workshop. Learn the finesse of brewing from a local tea master, and relish the distinct flavors of Georgian teas.

Conclude your day with a heartfelt meal in the warm company of a Gurian family. Delight in local dishes made from recipes passed down through generations, all while sipping on freshly brewed herbal tea, ensuring a perfect end to your day before we return you to your hotel in Batumi.
